Copywriter
Part-Time | Virtual | Posted Feb 19, 2026
Dream job alert:
If you are an experienced copywriter who enjoys writing persuasively and has a passion to help teachers and make a difference in the field of education, this might be your dream job!
Teach 4 the Heart is an organization dedicated to helping teachers thrive so they can shine the light of the Gospel in their classrooms. We do this by providing teacher training, support & encouragement from a Biblical perspective.
We are looking for a new part-time team member to assist our team with copywriting in a variety of areas including emails, sales and sign-up pages, ads, and social media. Keep reading to see if this might be right for you!
This job is right for you if you….
- Are an experienced copywriter who understands buyer psychology and knows how to write strong hooks, compelling copy, and clear CTAs.
- Have experience in the field of education (i.e. you get what it's like to be a teacher)
- Have a firm faith in Jesus and strong commitment to follow Scripture. You love talking about Scripture & how it applies to different aspects of life and teaching
- Enjoy & are skilled in writing (able to be clear, concise & compelling)
- Are able to manage & balance multiple projects and tasks without much oversight
- Are not intimidated by new technology, software, and apps and comfortable learning, using, and (if needed) troubleshooting them
Our business is completely virtual, and in our (totally unbiased 😉 ) opinion, we think this is an awesome place to work!
But it's also not for everyone. Here’s some good news & bad news..
LET’S GET THE (POTENTIALLY) BAD NEWS OUT OF THE WAY:
- Hours: This position starts at
15-20 hours per week, and we are looking for someone who can commit to that range of hours (i.e. you're comfortable working as little as 15 or as many as 20 hours per week, depending on your workload).
- We do need someone who is able to work at least these number of hours, so if you're looking to work 5-10 hours a week, this is no longer the coolest job ever and is probably not the best fit.
- We need someone who is already skilled at copywriting and will be able to jump in and get started right away. You need to already have a good understanding of basic copywriting principles, buyer psychology, etc. and be comfortable with tasks like planning email campaigns, outlining sales pages, writing ad copy, etc.
- If you are an experienced copywriter who has done some, but not all, of these types of tasks, please go ahead and apply. But if you're someone who loves to write but has no experience with copywriting, this is probably not going to be the right fit.
- If you are an experienced copywriter who has done some, but not all, of these types of tasks, please go ahead and apply. But if you're someone who loves to write but has no experience with copywriting, this is probably not going to be the right fit.
- We expect all team members to take this position seriously and prioritize their work, even though it's part-time. So if you're looking to just pick up a few hours without being serious about it, then this probably isn't the right fit.
NOW FOR THE (POTENTIALLY) GOOD NEWS:
- Everything is virtual, so no need to commute, and you can wear whatever you want! Such a huge time/cost savings! You will have the opportunity to connect with teammates in biweekly team meetings (online) and in our chat groups.
- The work is fun, fresh, and varied. You’ll be working with our team to support & encourage teachers.
- We are distinctly Christian. We believe our faith should impact everything, including our work. We seek to follow Biblical principles in our work culture, and we absolutely talk about our faith on our podcast, emails, coaching calls, etc.
- We’re not big on stress. We do operate at a very high level and will expect you to work efficiently and get things done. But we don't believe a high-stress environment helps anything, so we focus on open communication, trusting God in our work, and finding ways to work smarter, not harder. When things start to fall behind, we work together to find solutions rather than expecting you to burn the midnight oil to get caught up.
- The hours are flexible. You have a lot of flexibility to choose when you work during the week. We do have biweekly team meetings and meetings for specific projects. But beyond that, you can typically choose when you work.
- You won’t be bored. We are a small organization, so we cannot afford to waste time. We prioritize spending our time on the right things & getting them done as efficiently as possible. It’s also expected that each team member will wear a variety of hats, balance multiple projects, and utilize a variety of skills. This means there’s always a lot of variety in what you’re doing, and being bored won’t be an issue.
- We value work/life balance & support families: While we value efficiency, we also value work/life balance. We work with team members’ schedules and adjust responsibilities as needed so that team members are working an optimal # of hours for their life situation. We seek to work ahead so that there is margin, allowing us flexibility when things inevitably come up.
insights into the position:
These are meant to give you an idea of what we need & what you can expect:
1. You need to already be strong at persuasive copywriting
We are not looking for someone who wants to learn how to be a copywriter. We need someone who can jump in and write structured email campaigns, sales pages, ads, and promotional sequences right away. We’ll train you on our brand, offers, and audience — but you must already understand how to write persuasive, conversion-focused copy.
2. You must be able to take messaging and turn it into complete campaigns.
We will provide the core positioning, angles, and offer details. You’ll need to translate that into cohesive email sequences, sales pages, social campaigns, and ads that feel strategic — not pieced together. You won’t just write one-off emails; you’ll build campaign arcs.
3. This is not content writing — it’s conversion writing.
Your job is not to write “nice” emails. It’s to move people towards the next action. You’ll need to think about objections, urgency, clarity, and reader psychology in everything you write.
4. You need to understand teachers.
Ideally, you’ve been a teacher or worked closely in education. You must instinctively understand classroom challenges, burnout, school culture, and the emotional tension teachers experience. If you don’t truly “get” teachers, this role will be very difficult.
5. You’ll be talking about Scripture, faith, and a Biblical worldview regularly.
Faith is central to our mission. You need to be comfortable writing and communicating about Scripture and integrating Biblical principles naturally and respectfully into marketing and messaging.
6. You must be philosophically aligned with Teach 4 the Heart.
Because you’ll be shaping communication to our audience, strong alignment with our beliefs, educational philosophy, and core values is essential. The ideal candidate would agree with this statement of faith, hold Biblical views in sensitive topics such as gender and sexual identity, and share our educational philosophies. (Check out this document for a summary of our core content. We don't expect everyone to agree on every tiny detail, but overall philosophy alignment will be key.)
7. You’ll be expected to own your work.
We expect polished drafts, thoughtful structure, and minimal hand-holding. You should self-edit thoroughly before submitting. If something underperforms, we expect you to help analyze and suggest improvements — not wait to be told what to fix.
8. You’ll work with a lot of tech and moving pieces.
We use multiple software platforms. We’ll train you, but you’ll need to get up to speed quickly and be comfortable learning new tools independently.
9. You won’t just be checking boxes.
While we’ll provide strategic direction, this role requires thoughtful execution. You’ll need to think through structure, sequencing, and flow — not simply fill in templates.
10. Your responsibilities will be varied.
As a small company, we move quickly and wear multiple hats. You’ll likely balance sales pages, email campaigns, and social messaging at the same time. Strong time management and prioritization are essential.
11. You must share our core values.
At Teach 4 the Heart, we value innovative problem solving, a passion to help, Biblical thinking, balance/efficiency, and authenticity. We welcome you to apply if you share these values!
We don’t expect perfection for you to qualify. We are prepared to work with you and to make sure you have the tools you need to succeed! We expect you to bring solid copywriting skills, intelligence, organization, and a passion to make a difference.
Some things you’ll be responsible for:
- Planning and writing email sequences and individual emails
- Creating sales pages & sign-up pages (involves planning the overall flow of the page, writing copy, and laying out the page using our simple drag-and-drop page builder)
- Planning, writing, and creating social media content
- Planning, writing, and creating ads
- Writing SMS messages
- Assisting with other projects as needed
What does success look like in this role?
- Writing in a compelling, concise, and persuasive way
- Writing good copy with strong hooks and clear, compelling CTAs
- Writing high-converting sales pages, email sequences, ads, SMS, and social content
- Clearly communicating in a relatable way that resonates with teachers and is not pushy
- Structuring campaigns and funnels strategically so that they flow together (not just writing individual pieces)
- Addressing objections naturally within copy
- Meeting deadlines and managing projects responsibly
- Submitting polished drafts that require minimal revision
- Analyzing performance (opens, clicks, conversions) and suggesting improvements
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for a candidate who....
- Has strong copywriting skills and is able to communicate clearly and persuasively
- Understands how teachers think and is able to write in a way that is relatable and helpful while also clearly guiding them towards next steps
- Understands funnels, offers, and buyer psychology
- Understands social media and is aware of current trends (Not so much "TikTok trends" - more so what kind of content works well on platforms currently)
- Knows how to ask good questions to understand the big picture and the particular project
- Has a strong faith in Jesus Christ, thinks Biblically, and brings their faith into all aspects of their life
- Is comfortable learning new technology and working with a variety of systems and software
