This Week's Devotion Was Inspired By:
Psalm 103:19 ESV
The Lord has established his throne in the heavens,
and his kingdom rules over all.
FROM HEAD KNOWLEDGE TO HEART KNOWLEDGE:
1. evaluate with honesty: What things in your life are outside of your control that you wish you could control? What is so frustrating about them?
2. start right now. Don’t wait—come to God right now. Share these things with God. Ask Him to help you surrender these situations.. Ask Him for help in seeing how He IS still in control even if it doesn't feel like it.
3. TAKE IT A STEP FURTHER. Write down the phrase "already, but not yet." Consider a situation that you are facing where God is already ruling but maybe we can not see the entire picture. Pray and journal over your situation and ask God to show you how to grow---and how sometimes the biggest change we need isn't in the situation but in ourselves!
KEY POINT: When you're frustrated about things outside of your control, remember God is in control - and one day He will make ALL things right!

Do you ever get frustrated by situations outside your control? Something feels unjust, it’s not right, you wish you could change it—but you can’t.
Psalm 103:19 gives us encouragement:
"The Lord has established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all."
Here’s the powerful truth: we may not be in control, but God is.
God is in control—even when we aren’t. Instead of being consumed by frustration, we can rest in knowing He reigns over all things. If God is in control, He has allowed this situation for a purpose. He promises to work all things together for good, to make us more like Christ. He may be working in me, in someone else, or in ways I cannot see—but I can trust that He is at work, even here.
God will one day make everything right. We live in the “already, but not yet.” His kingdom rules now, but we don’t yet see everything under Christ’s authority. One day He will return, set up His kingdom, and every wrong will be made right. In the meantime, God doesn’t expect us to fix everything. He calls us to trust His timing and rely on His wisdom in how we respond.
So if you’re frustrated by something you can’t control, take a moment to pray. Ask God to change the situation. But also pray, “Your will be done. More than changing this, I want You to work in me, give me wisdom, and show me how to respond.”
When you take those moments to pray, you’ll find it makes all the difference.
