Then the ring is on the finger and the dreams start turning into plans. The date is set, the dress is found, and the venue is booked. The wedding is incredible and the new couple begins their happily-ever-after. Everything is perfect.

Until reality sets in. And the dream of happily-ever-after meets the reality of marriage-takes-work.

And what happens then?

At twenty-seven, I’ve already seen too many of my friends experience the tragedy of divorce after only a few years of marriage. It’s heart-breaking and devastating. And it’s happening way too often.

Many marriages are imploding because our society has a distorted view of marriage. And we Christians aren’t doing a good enough job of teaching the next generation the truth.

We as parents and teachers have an incredible responsibility to teach our children and students what marriage truly is. In particular, there are 5 key truths about marriage that they won’t know unless we teach them.
