We're hiring!
Podcast & Content Manager
Part-Time | Virtual | Posted May 24, 2025
Dream job alert:
If you love sharing ideas by writing and speaking, are unintimidated by tech, enjoy keeping projects on-track and have a passion to help teachers and make a difference in the field of education, this might just be your dream job!
Teach 4 the Heart is a virtual organization dedicated to helping teachers thrive so they can shine the light of the Gospel in their classrooms. We do this by providing teacher training, support & encouragement from a Biblical perspective.
We are looking for a new part-time team member to assist our team in a variety of areas, including podcast management, content creation, and writing. We're looking for a unique person who is both creative & logical. Keep reading to see if this might be right for you!
This job is right for you if you….
- Have at least 2-3 years of teaching experience and a desire to share that experience & help mentor other teachers
(However, it's unlikely you would have time and space for this position if you're currently teaching full-time.) - Have a firm faith in Jesus and strong commitment to follow Scripture and love talking about Scripture & how it applies to different aspects of life and teaching
- Enjoy & are skilled in writing (able to be clear, concise & compelling)
- Are comfortable speaking and sharing insights (and would be excited to co-host podcast episodes)
- Are detail-oriented, organized, and skilled at keeping projects on track
- Are able to manage & balance multiple projects and tasks without much oversight
- Are not intimidated by new technology, software, and apps and comfortable learning, using, and (if needed) troubleshooting them
- You have strong left and right brain strengths: are both highly creative and very logical, are BOTH detail-oriented and able to plan based on the big picture."
Our business is completely virtual, and in our (totally unbiased 😉 ) opinion, we think this is an awesome place to work!
But it's also not for everyone. Here’s some good news & bad news..
LET’S GET THE (POTENTIALLY) BAD NEWS OUT OF THE WAY:
- Hours: This position starts at 15-20 hours per week, and we are looking for someone who can commit to that range of hours (i.e. you're comfortable working as little as 15 or as many as 20 hours per week, depending on your workload).
- If you're interested in full-time work (30-40 hours/week), we are open to that possibility in the future, but we are not able to guarantee any additional hours. So, if you’re looking for something full-time to start, then this is no longer the “coolest” job ever and probably isn’t a good fit.
- We expect all team members to take this position seriously and prioritize their work, even though it's part-time. So if you're looking to just pick up a few hours without being serious about it, then this probably isn't the right fit.
NOW FOR THE (POTENTIALLY) GOOD NEWS:
- Everything is virtual, so no need to commute, and you can wear whatever you want! Such a huge time/cost savings! You will have the opportunity to connect with teammates in biweekly team meetings (online) and in our chat groups.
- The work is fun, fresh, and varied. You’ll be working with our team to support & encourage teachers.
- We are distinctly Christian. We believe our faith should impact everything, including our work. We seek to follow Biblical principles in our work culture, and we absolutely talk about our faith on our podcast, emails, coaching calls, etc.
- We’re not big on stress. We do operate at a very high level and will expect you to work efficiently and get things done. But we don't believe a high-stress environment helps anything, so we focus on open communication, trusting God in our work, and finding ways to work smarter, not harder. When things start to fall behind, we work together to find solutions rather than expecting you to burn the midnight oil to get caught up.
- The hours are flexible. You have a lot of flexibility to choose when you work during the week. We do have biweekly team meetings and meetings for specific projects. You'll also need to coordinate schedules to record podcast episodes. Beyond that, you can typically choose when you work.
- You won’t be bored. We are a small organization, so we cannot afford to waste time. We prioritize spending our time on the right things & getting them done as efficiently as possible. It’s also expected that each team member will wear a variety of hats, balance multiple projects, and utilize a variety of skills. This means there’s always a lot of variety in what you’re doing, and being bored won’t be an issue.
- We value work/life balance & support families: While we value efficiency, we also value work/life balance. We work with team members’ schedules and adjust responsibilities as needed so that team members are working an optimal # of hours for their life situation. We seek to work ahead so that there is margin, allowing us flexibility when things inevitably come up.
insights into the position:
These are meant to give you an idea of what we need & what you can expect:
1. You need to be excited about our mission to help teachers thrive so they can shine the light of the Gospel in their classrooms. This job may be right for you if you cannot wait to support teachers, whether it’s researching and preparing amazing podcast episodes, writing content for them, or providing answers to member questions. You need to feel comfortable giving teachers advice and weighing in on conversations about teaching strategies & solutions.
2. You'll be talking about Scripture, faith & God a lot. Faith is an extremely important part of our podcast and summit, as we're continually seeking to explore topics from a Biblical worldview and consider how our faith impacts what we do both in & out of the classroom. You'll be contributing to those conversations both on & off the "air."
3. You'll need to have a good pulse on what teachers need most. You'll be responsible for planning podcast episodes and summit sessions and reaching out to potential guests. You'll need to keep a pulse on our community, looking for commonly expressed needs, using your best judgment to choose the most needed topics, finding guest experts as needed, and preparing the best questions to create the most helpful podcast episodes and summit sessions possible.
4. You’ll be communicating with our audience. So, you need to have a passion to help teachers and the ability to communicate with clarity, empathy & care. You also need to enjoy writing and speaking and be able to write and speak in a way that is compelling, concise, and relatable (as you can see from this description, we use a relaxed writing and speaking style that you'll be expected to adopt).
5. You need to be on the same page with us philosophically. As you'll be involved in creating content for our audience, we need strong alignment in our beliefs and viewpoints. The ideal candidate would agree with this statement of faith, hold Biblical views in sensitive topics such as gender and sexual identity, and share our educational philosophies. (The best way to know if you're in alignment is to listen to some of our podcast episodes here. We don't expect you to agree on every tiny detail, but overall philosophy alignment will be key.)
6. You’ll be working with a lot of tech. We use a lot of different software and apps. We’ll train you on everything, but it’ll feel like a lot at first. You don't need to be a tech genius, but you'll need to get up-to-speed fairly quickly and be comfortable exploring & learning new software and figuring things out on your own when needed.
7. You'll be adjusting workflows & problem solving. Part of this position is continually adjusting the workflows & processes to keep everything running smoothly. This involves adjusting systems within our task management software such as: conditional logic, figuring out why a certain field isn't working the way it should, etc. (If you enjoy logic puzzles OR basic coding, this will be no problem for you. If you hate those types of things, this might be be an issue.)
8. You'll need to be reliable and organized. We'll be counting on you to keep the podcast, summit content, and other projects on track and ensure all the little pieces are completed on time.
9. You won’t just be checking boxes. While some tasks will be fairly cut-and-dried, many responsibilities will require you to think creatively come up with ideas and solutions, and adjust processes as needed to meet our goals.
10. Your responsibilities will be varied. As a small company, all our team members wear a lot of different hats. Don’t worry - we won’t throw all of them at you at once, but you do need to be prepared to balance quite a few different projects and roles. That means you need to be good at managing your time and prioritizing what’s most important.
11. You need to share our company values. At Teach 4 the Heart, we have four core values: innovative problem solving, a passion to help, Biblical thinking, and authenticity. We welcome you to apply if you share these values!
We don’t expect perfection for you to qualify. We are prepared to train you and to make sure you have the tools you need to succeed! We expect you to bring solid writing and speaking skills, intelligence, insights, organization, and a passion to help.
